What was your favourite thing about training for the GWR?
The way you could turn up to training after a long day at work and not feel like hooping … and the next minute you’re spinning away without any other worry in the world apart from beating the timer!
What was the hardest thing about training for the GWR?
The bruises!
Why did you want to be part of the record?
Because how often do you get the chance to be part of something like this?
What was it like on the day? Were you nervous?
It was such a mix of emotions. I was really nervous, then determined, and then just really proud of what we were able to achieve.
How does it feel to hold the GWR?
It feels a bit surreal. I remember getting a Guinness World Records book as a prize when I was at school. I never once imagined that future me would hold a world record!
